  • Bruno Cardoso

    Bruno has an analytical mind and number oriented with a long finance background having performed different tasks throughout his career. Stronger points are clearly the analytical skills, dealing with numbers, trend analysis and always trying to go a step deeper. Creative and methodical, never happy with the current result and always looking for a better (and cheaper) way of doing things. Problem solving, flexibility, time management and prioritization are some other strong points of mine.

    Founder of Kynexis LLC and Lecare AB, Christer Köhler currently holds the position of Chairman for Kynexis LLC and Chairman of Lecare AB.He is also on the board of GreenLeaf Medical AB, Hamlet Pharma AB and Intidyn LLC.He previously held the position of Executive Vice President-Discovery Research at AstraZeneca Plc, Global Head-CNS Discovery at F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. and Adjunct Professor at the University of Bergen.He received a doctorate from the University of Bergen.

  • Håkan Mellstedt
    Advisory Board

    Håkan Mellstedt, Professor of Oncologic Biotherapy, M.D., Ph.D., Department of Oncology- Pathology, Karolinska Institute at the Karolinska University Hospital Solna, Stockholm, Sweden.

    He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Oncology. He was president of ESMO 2004 – 2009, chair of the Swedish Medical Society of Oncology 1993-2000 and is member of the Accreditation Council of Oncology in Europe (ACOE) (2009-). He is the co-founder of a biotech company, KANCERA AB, (2011). Professor Mellstedt has published more than 500 manuscripts, and is frequently an invited speaker. He holds several patents.

  • Jan Stjernström

    He has over forty years of international experience in the finance industry, from senior positions at Svenska Handelsbanken, Citigroup and SEB. During a ten year period he specialised in financing multinational companies within the Chemical & Pharmaceutical industries globally. He later ran one of the largest Life insurance companies in Sweden (which included a healthcare insurance business) and has also served on various boards including Private Banks and a large Swedish Venture Capital fund. His last operating position was as head of SEB´s Southeast Asian franchise based in Singapore. Jan has a vast experience in strategic planning, management, investment management, corporate and investment banking.

    Miguel Fontes is, since 2016, the Executive Director of Startup Lisboa. He has a degree in Sociology and a postgraduate degree in Business Management from INDEG/ISCTE. He was the Secretary of State for Youth, in the governments led by António Guterres, between November 1997 and April 2002. He has held management roles, both in the private and public sectors, having previously been executive director of AICEP Global Parques S.A., between 2010 and 2015.

    Shervin has over 20 years of experience spanning senior business and technology commercialization roles at both startups and Fortune 500 companies in Canada, Silicon Valley, and Asia Pacific.  He has been involved in the full innovation commercialization cycle from market & product strategy, Sales & Business Development, strategic partnerships, technology scouting, Investment and M&A, across various verticals, including Digital Health, Telecoms/Cloud, and FinTech.   He’s currently the General Manager of WELL Digital Health Apps business unit; previously, he held senior positions at Dialogic, Actel Consulting, iMediHome, Avaya, Ubiquity Software, & Cisco Systems.  He holds both a bachelor’s and Master’s Degree of Engineering from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada


  • Staffan Ericsson
    Board of Directors

    Dr. Staffan Ericsson has more than 30 years’ experience as a technologist and entrepreneur. He has worked in the venture capital industry since 2000 and is a Technology Partner with Rally Ventures. He was previously a Venture Partner with Vesbridge Partners and St. Paul Venture Capital. In 2004-2005, he served as interim CEO of GeoVantage, an aerial imaging company.Staffan founded Vivo Software in 1992 and served as its first CEO and later as chairman until the company was acquired by RealNetworks in 1998. Vivo developed the first software implementation of the international videoconferencing standard (H.320), the world’s first implementation of the international videophone standard (H.324), and VivoActive, which became the most popular format for Internet video streaming within six months of its introduction. After Vivo’s acquisition, Staffan joined RealNetworks as a special consultant to the CEO and spearheaded RealNetworks’ entry into the mobile market.Before founding Vivo, he spent seven years at PictureTel, where his roles included Director of Research and Director of International Sales. While at PictureTel, he invented HVQ (Hierarchical Vector Quantization), which enabled the company to become the leader in group videoconferencing.Staffan holds a Ph.D. and a combined BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering from The Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. His Ph.D. Thesis formed the basis for the European research efforts that led to the international standards for video compression (MPEG, H.261, H.263).He holds 14 US patents related to video compression. He was named “Professional of the Year” in 1994 by the Editors of TeleSpan for the “vision and conviction” he has brought to the teleconferencing industry. In 1995, the Editors of Network Computing named him one of the most influential people in data networking.

    Vitor is a healthcare entrepreneur. Strong management skills gathered in multinationals over 20 years spent in the Industry. Last 11 years were at Microsoft and previously at Xerox, Accenture and Bull. He has the Advanced Management Program for Executives from Católica Business School for Business & Economics. Strong experience in company management, people management, sales, fund-raising and distribution.
